Questions
Insurance questions
Can I choose my own shop for an RV insurance claim in California?
Yes. California law puts the choice of repair facility with you. A carrier may recommend a direct repair program shop and may say it guarantees that shop, but it cannot require you to use one.
What is a supplement and why does it matter so much on RVs?
A supplement is additional damage documented after teardown. It matters more on recreational vehicles than on cars because most RV damage is hidden behind the skin, so the initial estimate written from visible damage is nearly always incomplete.
Do you handle the carrier communication or do I?
We do. We write the scope, take the photographs, submit the supplement and handle the back and forth. You handle your deductible and the decisions that are genuinely yours to make.
Claim open, or about to be?
Send the claim number and photos. We will tell you what the carrier estimate is likely missing before you authorize anything.
