Full Vehicle Collision Restoration in Fountain Valley, California
What this work involves
A restoration is a different animal from a repair. The unit comes apart completely, the frame is evaluated and corrected, and everything above it is rebuilt. We currently have a 1959 Flxible VL-100 on the floor next to current model year Sprinters, which is a fair picture of the range.
How we approach it
- Frame-off capability, including chassis separation on bus conversions.
- Period-correct fabrication when reproduction parts do not exist.
- Staged billing tied to milestones rather than one lump sum.
- Documented photo record of the whole build, which supports appraised value afterward.
What sends people here
- Severe multi-system damage
- Extensive rot or delamination through the structure
- Vintage coach worth more restored than repaired
- Prior repairs done badly enough to require redoing
Questions
Questions about full vehicle collision restoration
How do you price a restoration when the scope is unknown?
In phases. We do a paid teardown and assessment first, produce a written scope from what we find, and then price the build in stages you authorize individually. Nobody can honestly quote a fixed number on a closed-up vintage coach.
Is a vintage coach restoration worth it financially?
Often not on pure resale math, and we will tell you that. It makes sense when the coach has personal or collectible value, or when the alternative is a modern unit that does not fit how you actually travel.
