Frame and Structural Repair in Fountain Valley, California
What this work involves
Frame damage on a towable is usually not from a collision at all. It is from years of loading past the axle rating, or from a suspension failure that let the frame carry a shock it was never meant to. By the time an owner notices the symptom, the deflection has usually been there for a while.
How we approach it
- Measurement based rather than eyeball based, with printed readings on both ends of the job.
- Certified welders on structural members, which matters for both safety and insurability.
- We repair outriggers and crossmembers rather than only pulling main rails.
- Rust and corrosion is addressed as part of the structural repair, not left under fresh paint.
What sends people here
- Uneven tire wear on a trailer with correct pressures
- Sagging at the rear overhang
- Slide rooms that bind seasonally
- Cracks at weld joints or around the pin box
- Doors that fit differently when loaded than when empty

Questions
Questions about frame and structural repair
Can a bent RV frame be repaired, or does it have to be replaced?
Almost always repaired. Full frame replacement on a coach is rarely economic and rarely necessary. Rails get pulled back to specification, cracked sections get cut and replaced with correct-gauge material, and outriggers get rebuilt.
How do you know what the frame is supposed to measure?
Manufacturer specification where it exists, and symmetry measurement where it does not. Many RV frames have no published spec, so we measure diagonals and reference the undamaged side.
